Alexis was up and walking 2 days after her surgery.  She walked out of her room down the hallway, past the playroom and found her way to Kim's room for a visit :)  By the 3rd day after surgery she was walking so much and so fast that the nurse and I couldn't keep up with her.  Alexis was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday August 19th, 6 days after her surgery.  Kim went home on Monday the 17th, 4 days after surgery.  She is up and walking and she looks great !  Everything has gone wonderfully and God's hand has been in everything... in the success of the surgery and in the Love that is felt and the wonderful bonds that it has created.     

We left the hospital with 9 medications and Alexis needs to drink 34 oz. of fluids a day.  She has some issues with diarehia from the meds, but it's getting better.  She also had some blood in her urine one day, but the doctor said it's normal and it went away the next day.  Alexis has blood tests done 3 days a week... THANK GOD...  all the tests are normal.  We have been at the Ronald McDonald house for the past 2 and 1/2 weeks.  I had hoped to put and update in here much sooner but keeping up with Alexis is a full time job, she is always on the go.

We have meet some wonderful families here at the Ronald McDonald house... please keep all the kids and Kim and Alexis in your prayers :)
